right to housingRight To Housing

Housing Rights, Inc. has joined with a number of local and national groups to advocate for the adoption of a Right to Housing for all residents of the United States as well as around the globe.

According to the Universal Declaration on Human Rights (Article 25(1), 1948): Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.

The United States has not signed this Declaration.

If you would like to join us in the campaign for The Right to Housing call or e-mail us. Or contact one of the national organizations for the right to housing.
